Mission Outreach

The Mission Ministry is a servant ministry designed to promote and affirm through the commitment of each Prevailing family member or believer to fulfill the Great Commission according to Matthew 28:18-20, by providing missionary training, scheduling mission outreach events, and developing evangelism teams that will take the Word of God into prisons, colleges, convalescent homes, hospitals, local communities and the world. The mission of this ministry is global.

We support the following domestic and global missions:

  • Beacon Light Mission ministers the love and grace of Jesus Christ to the homeless in the South Bay by providing a safe and nurturing environment where they can receive food, clothing, temporary shelter, discipleship and spiritual encouragement in their present life circumstances. Learn more at the Beacon Light Mission website.

  • Doors of Hope Women's Shelter ministers the love and grace of Jesus Christ to homeless women in the South Bay by providing a safe and nurturing environment where they can receive food, clothing, temporary shelter and spiritual encouragement in their present life circumstances.  We seek to identify the extreme challenges of homeless women and provide support to help them transition from despair to spiritual wholeness. Learn more at the Doors of Hope Women's Shelter website.

  • I Can Fly International is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that empowers vulnerable children and youth around the world through education and justice initiatives. Since 2005 they have assisted hundreds of women and children in their plight against early marriages, female genital mutilation, sexual abuse, child labor, tribal wars, illiteracy and extreme poverty.

They are guided by their faith in Jesus Christ and consider such the basis of their mission and motivation to save the lives of children in the developing world. Learn more at the I Can Fly International website.

  • Springs of Hope Grief-Care Center is a community service, non-profit organization with a mission to give hope to hurting people. They offer personal support, materials, and training. They use unique tools and strategies to assist in navigating the most difficult stages of life — death, lose, and significant life changes.

Springs of Hope Grief-Care Center is a faith-based organization that honors God and His power to sustain people through life’s trying times and difficult days. We share life-changing Biblical principles and practices that yield excellent results. Healing and restoration are experienced by all those who seek it. Wholeheartedly, we believe that God mends the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Learn more at the Springs of Hope website.

  • Ella’s Foundation is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization that began rendering its services to individuals seeking emergency housing.  This legacy began with Ella Craine, a local matriarch who kept an open door for all those who needed help.  Nearly 40 years later, Ella's Foundation continues this legacy by offering a "home" to men in our community that are in transition in their lives due to some life altering event, experience or circumstance.  We provide housing for adult males 18-65 years old, including veterans, those formerly incarcerated and those who are aging out of foster care. Learn more at the Ella's Foundation website

  • Feeding and helping those in need is something that our ministry does throughout the year. We support individuals within the Prevailing family to feed the homeless and serve during specific times of need such as sending gift cards to families following Hurricane Harvey, providing meals to almost 250 families during our annual Thanksgiving Dinner Drive, passing out school supplies in backpacks, etc.

We also have the following programs through the Prevailing Family Life Center.
