Senior Pastor, Michael J. Ealey
Pastor Michael J. Ealey is an anointed man of God, an awesome spiritual educator, motivator and dedicated Champion for Christ. He presents the word of God in a practical, humorous way that is thought-provoking and encourages growth from people from all walks of life. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of Prevailing In Christ Ministries.
Pastor Ealey attended Grambling University, Fullerton Bible College and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from the Long Beach Bible Institute. He has studied Theology at Oxford University in London, England and continues to broaden his knowledge of the Gospel to help reach this generation. Pastor Ealey, loving known as Pastor Mike, is passionate about building a healthy body of prevailing believers, teaching us how to prevail in Christ and become lay ministers set out to fulfill the Great Commission and Great Commandant. He is a visionary leader and fisher of men that takes pride in serving God and his community.
Throughout Pastor Mike’s forty years of pastoring in ministry, he has mentored and confirmed pastors/ ministers and served as a conference and seminar leader on various topics that impact the lives of many, including Christian Leadership, Community Building, Singles Ministry, Marriage Ministry and Youth Ministry. He hosted a nationally broadcasted internet radio talk show, “REAL Time” which tackled relevant topics and promoted dialogue on current events from a biblical perspective. Pastor Mike is currently the president of the South Bay Carson Clergy Connection where he collaborates with other pastors and ministers in the South Bay/ Carson area to build stronger relationships and cast a broader net for the kingdom.
Aside from his pastoral calling, Pastor Mike worked many years in the community as a County Park Supervisor. In that role, he was passionate about mentoring youth and young adults in community and sports activities, as well as taking an active role in community safety and intervention endeavors to make the surrounding community a better place to live and play.
Pastor Mike is happily married to his wife, Andrea Ealey. They share five children and nine grandchildren.
Assistant Pastor, Juanita S. Matthews
Pastor Juanita attended Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, Grace Theological Institute, California State University, Long Beach, Southern California Community Bible College, and Long Beach Bible College. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies.
For the past twenty years, Pastor Juanita has served the Body of Christ through preaching, teaching, music ministry, counseling, conducting workshops, seminars, conferences, and pastoral care ministry. She enjoys serving and helping people, as well as seeing their lives changed by the awesome power of God’s Love. She is an anointed instrument in the hand of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Juanita is a wife, mother and grandmother.
Pastor Juanita has released a book entitled, “Up from the Valley of Grief.” This book provides practical insights into pathways of healing and restoration. She serves the Body of Christ and the community at large as a Grief-Care Specialist.
